Hutto has named four finalists selected by the City Council to be the new city manager.

The finalists include Brian Bosshardt, a former city manager for Bedford, and Donald Toms, a former city administrator for Winder, Ga., according to a city news release on Thursday.

The other finalists are Warren Hutmacher, who served as the city manager for Johns Creek, Ga., and Wayne Reed who is the assistant city manager for Georgetown, the release said.

The City Council will interview the four finalists on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. The city had 68 applications for city manager from candidates in 21 states and two countries, the release said.

The city selected Strategic Government Resources, an executive recruitment firm, to help conduct the search for the position.

“We are confident in the selection process used by SGR, and the City Council and I are excited to have four qualified candidates to bring before our resident panel,” Mayor Doug Gaul said in the release. “We can’t wait to introduce these candidates to Hutto and show them what a great community they have a chance to be a part of.”

Hutto’s previous city manager, Odis Jones, resigned in December. Charles Daniels is serving as the interim city manager.
